Speaking Out.

I have always been open about the abuse I suffered as a child.

Have even talked about it on television, the radio, in magazines and newspapers. Written books about it.

Some have called me a nark for doing so. Others have accused me of betraying my family. Claimed that I was being abusive in shaming them.

I have not spoken out in retribution or in seeking revenge against those that hurt me. Disclosing the past has been essential to my healing and letting go. It has also been to break the cycle. To turn pain into purpose, with a drive to address child abuse and family violence.

It is my story.

It is not disloyal to talk about abuse. The disloyalty is in the abusing, and in those who witnessed it and stay quiet, and in those who wish it to be swept under the carpet.

Those that talk heal the future, heal the family.

I do it because I love my family.

With love

Tim
